The restaurant takes its name from Janger, a traditional Balinese dance that represents joy, harmony, and togetherness. Just like the dance, Janger Restaurant was named to reflect a place where people come together, share moments, and celebrate life through warmth, rhythm, and balance. Rooted in the vibrant spirit of Balinese community life, Janger reflects the joy of togetherness through music, movement, and playful interaction. Traditionally performed by groups of young men and women, the performance blends rhythmic chants, graceful gestures, and lively exchanges that create an atmosphere full of energy and harmony.

Made Suartana – Executive Chef
A proud Balinese native from Tabanan, Made Suartana brings over 25 years of culinary expertise to the table. His journey has taken him across Bali and beyond, where he has refined his craft through diverse international influences—from Balinese and Nusantara flavors to Mediterranean and European cuisine. As the creative force behind the dishes at Janger Restaurant, Chef Made blends tradition with global techniques, creating a dining experience that is both authentic and refined.

Kadek Suartana – Sous Chef
With more than 20 years of experience, Kadek Suartana specializes in pastry and bakery, bringing precision and creativity into every creation. His time in the Maldives shaped his perspective on culinary artistry, inspiring him to see cooking as more than just serving food—but as a meaningful experience. At Janger Restaurant, he combines his international exposure with local Balinese flavors, resulting in signature creations such as the Lemongrass Crème Brûlée—an elegant dessert with a distinctive local twist.
